From time to time, classes on various topics may be offered here at MBV. Your best sources for information are the weekly Coffee & News, the "What's Happening" list on our home page, and/or the current Mountaineer, our monthly newsletter.

Sign-up sheets are in the Activity Office for the following potential classes:

Polymer Clay

Beaded Jewelry

Cross-stitch or Silk Ribbon Embroidery

Greeting Cards

"Greeting Card Classes with Millie Hart," 1-3 pm, Ocotillo Room. 5 cards for $10. Come and spend a relaxing and creative few hours. Millie is there to help if needed. Enjoy the fun and go home with new greeting cards.

Line Dancing

Tuesdays, starting Nov. 5, 2011, in Superstition Center. There will be a charge for this class. Call the Activity Office for details.

1:30 - 2:00 pm for "New" Beginners

2:00 - 3:00 pm for Beginners

3:00 - 4:00 pm for Intermediate

Pinochle

Free Pinochle lessons on Tuesdays, Noon - 1 pm in March 2012. Learn to play or if you just need a review. All classes will be in Sunset Room A.

Silk Ribbon Embroidery

Learn a variety of embroidery stitches using silk ribbon. We will design a floral arrangement that can be framed. The class fee is $25.00 and includes all materials. The class will be in the Palo Verde Room, Feb. 28, 1 - 3 pm. Sign up in the Activity Office or call Linda Burch at 480-671-4463.

Yoga

Strengthen your mind and body on Fridays, 8:30 - 9:45 am, Sunset Room. There is a fee for this class. For more information, call Elfriede at 982-2319 or Joyce at 288-0026.

Zumba

Zumba is a Latin-inspired dance/aerobic fitness class. Zumba is a feel-happy workout. You will learn some very easy steps, including the Salsa, Merengue, Mambo and Cha-Cha. Zumba Gold (55+) classes are Monday, 8 - 9am in the Superstition Center starting November 7, 2011. Fees are $5 per class for drop-ins, or buy a punch card good for 10 classes for $45.
